Possible new Wavebox?

Just a thought . . .

I think the biggest complaint people have of the wavebox is the size. In a tank with at least 3 viewing sides, the box is a lil unsightly to be covering up a good portion of the glass. Perfromance-wise I think everyone would agree that it gets the job done!

Another compaint I see is that the current wavebox really is not useful unless you use it on a tank longer than 4'.

So with the advent of the new Nano-Streams coming out, would it be plausible for Tunze to eventually design a wavebox using the new smaller Streams? I would think they would be a lil smaller profile and since they would not be as powerful as the original, they could be utilized in smaller tanks to get the same effect.

The physics behind how it works makes it impossible. The principal of resonance frequency only allows a very small, fast wave in small tanks and just is not a practical solution. Besides, on a 4ft tank the pump is already switching off and on every .4 sec about, the wear and tear on a pump if you doubled that would just be beyond what a pump could endure for more than a couple years and the pump would not be effective as it takes a while for them to get to speed and move water.
