Possible pods in QT?!

So I have been slowly stocking my 55 and QTing one fish at a time and on my last fish! So far no Ich problems. Yesterday I got a coral beauty and one nerite snail lol for the heck of it. The QT has been going for 6 months now and has nothing but PVC a filter and a heater. Is it possible to have pods in such a simple system? I see white bugs walking all over the glass!

It depends- what else has been in the quarantine tank besides fish? Any coral or live rock at any time? Did you start the cycle with any filter from your DT, or do you change your QT water with DT water? Any of that can introduce pods. They will not live without a source of phyto but your fish will eat them. This is both good and bad since you usually want to convert your fish solidly to prepared food before releasing into a display.

no LR or coral but I didn't think of how I was diong water changes w/ display tank water. There ya go! I don't even see that many pods in my DT lolol

Could have been a hitchhicker from something you put in the QT, a fish or what ever.
