Possible predator worm?

Hi,

I'm feeling pretty new to the coral aspects of reefing, even thought I have some experience way way back. SO! Your help is appreciated.

I have two zoa colonies, one uniform red with yellow center, the other a mixed rock with some dragon eyes, some orange, some green with electrifying chartreuse, and some blue palys (and two pesty aiptasia irritating a few neighbors a bit.)

The first - red/yellow - thriving! Great extension and size etc.

The second, the green with chartreuse, have been diminishing badly. These are farthest from the aiptasia on that rock, so I discount the aiptasia from causality.

One night at 2 am I notice a worm on the second, but it's way too late to get into it and I don't even get a photo. 1.5 days later some of the first have disappeared - or my mind is playing a trick on me, which is possible.

Next night I come home from a show and find this on the sand just below the mixed zoa rock:

Hope the link works.

This may have been the worm I saw previously, maybe not. In any case it's OUTTA there and I wonder what folks think?

(BTW - I am on the way to the store to get some Bayer too.)

Thank you all very much.

OK so the worm that I saw on the zoas, which did appear to be eating, was either eating decayed matter from something else or a different worm...
