possible problem with leather?

Hello.... I bought a finger leather about a week ago because of its stunning blue color. I dipped it in coral dip. It seemed happy enough and still does, no drooping. The past couple of days the blue color came back big time. My concern when looking at magnified close up pix, the blue color seems mostly on the outside like a blue "snowfall".
Anything seems strange here?
