Possible reason why bta shrunk and turned white

My white bubble tip anemone shrunk, tentacles doesn't want to extend, turned white or it may have bleached. But it is still alive. Don't know what's the cause. Water parameters are NO3 = 5, PO4=1 Alk =8 PH=8.4. Could the lights be the reason coz I just replaced an old mh 20000K 150watt bulb with a same bulb.

Have you checked your salinity recently? Sometimes it can go out of whack without your noticing.

Could very well be the bulb change. Other causes could be: changing or adding carbon (clears the water, which causes greater light intensity) or a temperature spike (sometimes just 82 degrees will cause a BTA to bleach).

If it still looks healthy otherwise it should recover.
