Possible sick white anemone

Yes I'd return it and tell them the foots tore. I've tried to save several with a torn foot. I'm 0-4 in my attempts. Plus $75 is high for a lta

I agree it was high, but he was huge in the tank they had him in, and after talking with the person that went with me that day, he agrees that they were rough and fully believes that they tore his foot. It was so full and opened and the nicest shade of white... I guess first thing in the morning we will take it back to them to despose of seeing how they will not do refunds. I only wish there was more places that did saltwater.

I believe you, it looks quite big on picture.
But not white, nice looking purple specimen just little bleached according picture.
Sorry for your loss.

Look in our vendor forums as there are quite a few reputable suppliers there. The prices, including shipping, tend to be a little higher than I see locally, but the quality and selection is much better.

Well guy thisis what he looked like when i got home 8 hours later. It is now in a bag floating in the water until in the morning when i cant take it to the LFS to despose of

Sorry your anemone didn't make it. LTAs just don't seem to recover from tears in the foot. It would be interesting to see if antibiotics might help in those cases, I'm not sure if that has been documented by anyone on here. For future reference, Entacmaea quadricolor, bubble tip or bulb anemones, as they are called is a good first choice. They are much hardier and a tear will usually heal with that species.

when you go talk to them about the torn foot. if nothing hopefully they can learn to be more careful with getting nems out in the future.
