im thinking if setting up a seahorse and pipe fish tank it will be drilled 60gal 48"X13"X24" is this a suitable size?

Equipment
Mag 9.5 return
20gal sump
A couple power heads
80lbs of LS
40lbs of LR
2x48" NO florescent lighting 10k
Skimmer will come in latter when I get the$
Lighting may be upgraded if or when I decide to keep photosynthetic corals

i hope to keep 2pairs of hippocampus kuda and 2-3 pipe fish, type unknown at this time

what do you think?

It is not advisable to mix wild pipes with captive bred seahorses due to illness issues. It's best to choose one or the other - pipes or seahorses, not both.

so if I were to drop in a frozen cube of mysis shrimp before I go to school in the morning then maybe 2 cubes at night would that be enough food for them?

how many? 2 pairs (4 horses)? If so you'd have to see how much they eat, set up either a feeding station OR target feed. they need to be fed multiple times a day, not just 2 a day with a lot of food (they have no stomach so the food is digested quickly). You could probably get a way with 2 feedings a day.

i know that they might eat more or less i just went that as an example

yea sounds like it will be okay. My two smaller erectus (only around 3") go through about one cube in about a day in a half.
