Hi just wondering would it be possible to do a DIY eurobrace on my tank and get rid of that nasty brace anyone done this?

I have seen a diy cross brace where they replaced the original with clear acrylic. might try searching for that on a few forums.

I've seen that but have also seen that over time the MH lights turn it brittle as well

was thinking maybe something like this

I don't know. I wouldn't do that unless I absolutely knew what I was doing. You will need to drain most of your tank as well.

Well tank isnt setup just yet that will be coming soon just trying to figure out all the little things before i get to the fill point

Well I already have a tank its a 125 RR tank that has 1 brace in the middle and just dont wanna have any problems with shadows or the light not being even so just checking options

If you only use two you could put on on either side and the brace wouldn't be a issue.

If it is a rimmed tank and you plan on de-rimming it to do this, I wouldn't. That is a lot of water pressure pushing on the glass.
