Im just wondering if when my erectus have fry would it be possible to raise them with my dwarf seahorses for the first few weeks?

Yes, you could. As they grow though, they'd begin to outcompete the dwarfs for food - so keep an eye on the feeding density and make sure everything is getting enough food.

Keep in mind, unless you've purchased CB dwarfs then you'd be exposing the erectus fry to any pathogens the wc dwarfs could be carrying. Which means, those erectus shouldn't be mixed with other cb seahorses when they've grown.

If, by chance, your dwarfs are CB... then disregard this post :)

There is a breeder at syngnathid.org who was using frozen-converted dwarfs (which are very rare but she's exceptionally talented breeder/aquarist and must have tricked them into it) to train juvenile erectus fry to also eat frozen. Seems that once a few got the hang of it and recognized as food they were decently good to go.

I wish I had fry. I was at the National Aquarium in Baltimore today and they have a large circular tank with H. reidi in it, a few dozen pairs. And a cloud of fry.. they are so cute when they're little, I'd forgotten. :)
