how necessary is a post carbon filter (last stage after the membrane) for a reef aquarium?

I agree you dont want anything after the membrane except the di resin. If your system has the carbon filter after the membrane then that is for drinking water not for your tank.

X3, order should be: sediment filter, carbon block, membrane, di resin. Any additional stage should be next to the similar one.

i have 150ppm after my r/o unit it's clearly dead but didn't notice until now which is 2 weeks after having added my fish how serious is this? do i urgently need to do a 30-50% water change? thanks.
