A little off topic, has anyone seen/own a truly identical coral without the Oregon's provenance...in other words, found an identical looking (colored, growth speed, shape, etc.) one from a different source...wild caught perhaps...I'm not referring to Cali torts or sorta similar-ish ones? Just wondering about how truly rare it is...I mean, it's a truly distinct looking coral...

I've been thinking the same thing for the past year and half and from all the wild and aqua-cultured sources, I've never seen one. I also watch the stock that comes into california pretty closely. On top of that, I don't know anyone ever getting one that is identical to it without the "Oregon" LE trace to it. It's hard to say but I'm starting to think it doesn't exist and the Oregon is truely unique.

I agree. I have seen many Bali acros and have never seen any other wild or aquacultured acro that resembles the Oregon tort. The color is just outstanding.

I have pictures of my Oregons here.

How come we're not allowed to put links to pictures? I've done it in the past. Just saves me time to have to repost it to another gallery.

Also, while the other photos posted in the thread look like more normal light, they don't show the real blue this thing turns.

TT

Great pics guys! I totally agree with you Todd. The blue is just impossible to capture with the camera. It practically radiates from the acro!
