#1 I have seen them called Bluegrass.
.

That is a really bad pic...the outter ring that looks bluish is actually pink..I just can't seem to get a good pic of them..

Your zoas seem to be a unique color pattern. They have a lot of things in common with other color strains, but no dead on match.

Now this possible ID has an orange center, while yours seems to have a green one. Perhaps differences in light spectrums... but I'm not sure:
Creamsicle

I think you're right on the creamsicle. I upgraded to MH from VHO and the green is going away. They're starting t look more like the creamsicles.

Here are some pics for ID...

Are the ones on the left eclipses?

I've got some just like them. I two types, one with an orange center and one with a yellow center. This is what they look like under high light!

What kind of light do you have them under?
For how long have you had them under that light and do they look the same as they do in the pic at present?

I've been trying to figure out how to best keep these zoos for a while, thanks.
Hell, what are your water parameters like?

I have them 4 inches below the tank water surface under 250w 14k lights. My suggestion is that you will get the best color higher up in your tank. Play with the height and find out what you like.

Here are a few pics from today: BTW if anybody knows how to get rid of this purple branching algae let me know :mad2: .

High up in the tank, I normally shoot these in a top down view with the powerheads off.

Sorry for the bad qualit on this one but these are on the sand surface. Very similar color to yours in that the distinctive dark blue/purple around the center is blurry.

Re: Help ID please

1). Not blue abyss, but more on the lines "BlueBerries".
http://www.zoaid.com/index.php?module=Gallery2&g2_itemId=825
--- Mainly because the center of your zoa is a lighter almost blue/green teal color. Just like in the BlueBerries.

2). Too hard to tell from that angle or picture. If you could get a top down picture or one with flash that would help. Are they really that neon in color?

3). Same as #2

Sorry about that last 2

ficklefins,

Thanks for the quick reply!!!

Sorry about the pics, I'll try to get better one's when my friend comes by with his camera again. They are really neon though, those were taken under the actinics with some messing around with the white balance. Picture number 2 is my favorite of the whole tank! I like those zoanthids better than my hammer!!! As soon as I get new pictures, I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Hehe, I'll try to get picz up by tomorrow night. For picture 2, the skirt is more orange than the picture shows. Picture 3 is pretty much dead on to what it really looks like.

So I'll try to get a picture from the top down? and maybe another from the side? Thanks all!

What about these...I know pic isn't the best...these are irradescent dark pink to red in the center with tan skirts and a white mouth if that helps....camera bleached out the color.

Tough to tell. They look like they'll need a little while to grow out and color up. I'd say in 3 months you'll have a good chance at nailing a name down for them.;)

Can anyone help me with an id on the zoo's i have, the pics are at: http://ryanreef.blogspot.com/
pictures 11 and 12 closer to the bottom of the page.

They have brown skirts, army camo green centers, and biege mouths. the stems are purple when you can see them
Thanks
Ryan

Well, in terms of my IDing skills I would add the above as a unique color strain. The closest thing to them are the "Raspberry Redd" and even those don't come close to the highlights that your zoas have.
http://www.zoaid.com/index.php?module=Gallery2&g2_itemId=813

So my final classification is UNIQUE.

You should call them "Cherry Bombs".

I must be losing my touch because I haven't found these either. You have a one of a kind find here. Nice job Copacetic. Hopefully someone else will chime in with an ID but I have no idea.

So my final classification again is UNIQUE. I'm loosing my touch.

What type of lights are you running?

Thanks for the help ficklefins and reef junkie!!! I'll submit them to zoaid ASAP...well as soon as I figure it out!!! The yellow skirt zoanthids actually came attached to the psychadelic pink/orange ones. They were sort of tucked under the other ones, I only noticed them when I transfered everything to my 20 gallon and the yellow one's fell to the substrate. Hopefully they keep growing so I can trade with other members. Thanks again for the help.
