Posting some pics of my new 30D

Well, I received my 30D last night and wanted to put it to task.

I left it on full auto and snapped a few pics.

Not the greatest as the glass was not clean, nor was custom white balance set.

I'm pretty pleased with this camera.

Nice shots. One thing I would reccomend to you that was reccomended to me is to not leave it on auto. Play with the settings and you with get better with the camera. Oh, and always shoot perpenicular to the glass to minimize distortion. Good Luck.

Were those taken with the kit lens?

Nope, 28-135is lens. All shots were hand held.

Of course the glass wasn't clean, hair algae everywhere, and I didn't feel like turning off the pumps. I'm pretty impressed all the same as these shots were literally ten minutes after I opened the box.

I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday, and I'm glad I brought both lenses (28-135 & 17-35) as in some cases the longer zoom lens just wasn't wide enough.
