Potassium FS

Well, I've been following a thread on dull colors and its relation to potassium for sps, and I decided to go ahead and order a couple bottles of Potassium Chloride and do a little bit of dosing to try and get my colors up. I ended up ordering way too much, so I've got a couple bottles up for sale for those adventurous enough to experiment. I've only been dosing for a week, so I can't comment on any changes in coloration. The thread is located somewhere in the chemistry forum, for those interested.

Not looking to make any cash off of this, just what I spent on the bottles + shipping. A bottle should last a long time.

5 bucks a bottle.

It'll help your montis IF you have low potassium levels. FWIW< typically only zeo users experience low potassium ;)

So if you're not running zeo, it's a good idea to start running it so you don't let this $5 potassium go to waste. ;)

I thought they dosed Potassium Sulfate, not Potassium Chloride. There should be plenty of available Potassium Chloride in the water.

According to the thread, potassium chloride is dosed. I believe KCL dissolves to form K+ and CL- in an aqueous solution. I'm no chemistry expert though (or even a well seasoned novice).

I am seeing a trend of BB tanks having the problems I suspect to low K+. Zeo and non zeo users alike. Only since Tomas Pohl devloped the potasium tesk kit and zeo users started testing and using potasium supplements has it become a Zeo problem. Its been happing in non zeo tanks for a long time. So previous to the test kit the suggested solution has been everything from lowering the lights on time to adding more fish.

not sure. It's not in solution; pure KCL. I'm told a teaspoon raises 50g of water about 100ppm. There are about 40 teaspoons per bottle.
