Potential issues with blue spot jawfish?

i am considering a blue spot jaw fish for my 150g. Are there any issues they have or have been known to cause in a reef?

You need a very tight lid because they will jump. They are collected from cooler water around 72 degrees. They are very susceptible to blue spot jawfish disease which is obviously a disease that affects them. Their skin essentially starts to peel off and it is not very pretty. I know several people who have tried multiple times that have always come to the same result, death. I really hate raining on the parade of the BSJ as it is one of my favorite fish, but I just want people to know they can be very tough to keep.

Also how deep is your sand bed and what is it made up of? BSJ need a deep sandbed (4 inches at a minimum) with lots of rubble to build their borrow.

i am exactly st 4 inches and intended to add some barnacles, hoping he'd prefer that as a home. My tank always runs on the warm side- around 79 degrees

I had one for a long time. Just make sure that you don't have mean fish that will keep em hunkered down in its hole. I think its water params are a little different from the standard tropical reef since it is from Mexico, I believe.

Keep it well feed, your water clean, and pesky fish away and you should be good.
