Besides ich, what could this be?

I picked up a purple tang last week from vivid. Tang had a clear translucence mark on its bottom fin that I thought was just fin damage. I treated with prazipro last night and now the translucent mark is gone.. probably had fluke or other parasite..

However, now my potters angel has a single dot on his side that resembles a grain of salt. I had ich episode 3 years ago and this looks like ich, but its only 1 grain and no other fish has any other symtpons. The tang has never shown any ich either. What else could this be or maybe its nothing?

Another thing to note is that the potters angel wasn't doing well over the past few months. He's color has been fading and he has some kind of disorder thats causing him to lose some scales. Maybe his immune system is down so he was hit first with this problem... I'd take a picture but the description is very accurate.. single grain of salt on the side.

same spot or does it move?
if ich it should burst out within 3-7 days. then you woudnt notice it in that same location.

Hmm its gone.. it definitely appeared this afternoon and only 3 hours later its gone... Maybe it was just some sand that got stuck on him? No other fish has any spots and the tang that I introduced "looks" clean too.. Well I have my TTM ready if I see any more white sand grains!

Anything else it could be for it to disappear in a few hours?

I was going to suggest sand but for some reason I thought it was there for more than an hour.

LOL the tang showed up with a grain of sand on him too... and then it disappeared in about 20 minutes. I saw my hadonni moving a little and the clown was kicking the sand off of him.. I think its gettin on the fish.
