Potter's Angel & Maroon Clown

Hello all! I'm just trying to get some feedback on stocking. I have a gold flake maroon clown, and as most know they can be D-bags. My question is, how well would a potter's angel be able to hang with the clown? I've heard that they can be a bit more timid than other pygmy angels, is that mostly true? I'm really trying to stock my tank as it's only been this clown for a while, but it seems everything I want conflicts.

Thanks for the help people!

I think it's a 50/50 shot whether or not the two fish will get along, but the fact that you only have a 55 gallon tank at the moment these tight quarters could probably make matters worse IMO. You could try it, but be prepared to make some changes if worst comes to worst. What else do you have in the tank with the clown? How long before the 150 is set up?

I have kept maroons and potters together in the past without too much trouble. Not sure if you're a QT'er or not, but the big problem with the potters is getting it to eat. Putting a stressed fish in with a resident maroon may mean it never eats. I always QT potters for many weeks to ensure that when added to the display they're nice and fat.

The only thing left on the 150 is lighting, and I'm hoping to buy those when the tax return comes in (but just 'cause I plan for something doesn't mean crap to the universe). I've been dragging that tank around for at least four years, and I'm soo ready to set it up. Right now the clown is the only fish in the tank.

Yes, I QT. I also feed the clown in one spot every time, so any time she sees me she hangs out there and begs for it. In the past I have kept less aggressive feeders with the more aggressive by feeding on one side to gather all the aggressive feeders, and then feeding on the other side of the tank for the less aggressive. How do you think this strategy would work for these two?
