potters angels eating coraline?

i have a pair of potters and they are always pecking on the perpex on the back of the tank which is removing the coraline algae. (not complaing about it)

are they actually eating the coraline or this is just being dislodged from them biting other algae/forraging?

The only fish that I'm aware of eating coralline algae are parrotfish. I don't think the Potters could eat the coralline but can't say for sure.

I wouldn't think they are eating it, more likely dislodging it as you speculated.
