I need your advise and guidance with a new poder blue tang that is curre tly in my qt tank. I started dosing cuoramine and I'm right now at 0.2 and maybe a little more but not to 0.3 but i noticed that my pbt is acting very strange. Swimming back and forth, scratching on the pvc and fake corals i have there.
Qt tank is a 30 gal with a hob skimmer and filter, heater, pvc pieces and fake decoration for protection, small powerhead for water movement and a sponge filter powered by an air pump for bacterial filtrarion. I also have an amonia checker from seachem to check for it since the regular test will not show the correct ammounts when dosing cupramine.
My plans are to do water changes and run carvon to lower the cupramine to see if tang calms itself. So far he is eating very little. I prepared a mix of mysis, pellets, small pieces of nori all topped with selcon and garlic for enhancement.
In there there's also a yellow tang. Could he be causing stress on the pbt also?
What else can i do?
Salinitybis at 1.024 i was thinking in lowering it some more to help with oxygenation and ease of breathing.
Any other suggestions? Or should i keep going with the cupramine treatment?
