powder blue up for grabs!!!!

ich doesnt just come and go does it, like right now its gone, but im sure by the end of the day it will show up again....i mean i would dip this fish but from what others have said they say not too cuz its not ich, just stress but im still learnin

Please do a search on ich here on RC. Your friends are misinformed as well. Dipping will not help as the ich is already in the tank from not QTing your fish before putting them in the main tank. Once it is in a tank with fish it will be there period. You must remove all the fish from the tank and let it be fallow for at least 4-6 weeks while doing hyposalinity on the fishes in QT for the same period of time. Please see here:

This will confirm that what you are seeing and what your fishes have can/will die from if not treated.

i agree with freed, i saw the stress dots and new it was ich
deffinately make sure the person buying it knows that it has ich and is prepared to treat it

wow i was reading and reading and theni did some more reading, then that expains why the other fish dont have anything....but i was lookin at some pics of ich, and it just doesnt look like that, but from what it says about seurgonfishes and tangs being more prone to that disease more suceptible to ich, i have a tendency to lean more towards it....i think i am gonna setup a quarentine tank try it out....i think i am gonna have a promblem trying to get these tangs out of my tank...i need a trap....HEY BMAC, i dont wanna sell you an infected fish, but if you still want it, you should read about that ich thing before you go ahead and get this powder blue..i know its a great deal but you dont want to infect other fish and that great deal turns to an expensive deal, and have me to blame.im sure ill talk to you...i gotta get a trap and a tank...oh one more question about this ich, i know diatom powder is really good for removing parasites from the water, shoudl i go ahead and setup a hot magnum with micron filters and diatom powder will this remove ich? id ont have a quarentine tank so its gonna take me a week to set one up...im walkin out to ed now i got a 202 real and rod, im goin fishin....who do ou think will take the bait first?lol

regular filters wont get it, you need a uv sterilizer
you dont need to do that, if you have good water quality and the tangs are healthy they should be strong enough to overcome the parasite

well the other tangs dont have nothin....ya know what i was thinkin, every pet smart and petco i have been to, every saltwater fish had ich, and i was bad, not like this powder blue, mean ich covered almost every fish head to to to eyes to everywhere, but this fish has it one day and not the next....i dont understand how places sell to people knowing its going to harm our systems...

Donรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt worry about ich the tang is stressed. If all your other fish and or tangs donรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt show signs, I wouldnรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt do anything else to stress a powder blue they are delicate enough as it is. Is the tang scratching at the rocks and is it eating fine? Ich donรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt show up in the morning and go away in the afternoon.

Iรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขm not the tang police but that is a nice sized tang in a 75 with a hippo and a yellow tang, it is going to be stressed. I think you are going to run out of room very soon. Ich in a stress free thank with healthy fish isnรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt a problem. I have always had it in my tank and I have some tangs and other fish that I have had over seven years. I never lost a fish from ich and only see a speck or two rarely. So hypo and all the hocus-pocus isnรƒฦ’ร‚ยขรƒยข"ลกร‚ยฌรƒยข"ลพร‚ยขt necessary if you have a properly stocked aquarium. I just actually added a powder blue tang with ich to my tank, the ich is gone now. I also have cleaner gobies just incase a tang needs their service.

no...sometimes they go do towards the sand just to pick up algea or something but besides that they live in rocks hide under them.....the yellow lives with the clown fish,...they like her....lol...

im havin a heck of a time tryin tp catch this powder blue......i've been tryin for abouot an hour now, shes way smart , i think she knows shes going...i need to get a trap or something...ya know lookin at this fish right now there is no sign of ich or any stress whatsoever its about 1045 am.... but by 5 pm they will show guarenteeeed..its avery beautiful fish...how am i gonna get this fish out...ill keep tryin....

2 liter bottle, some food and some fishing line should do the trick.cut the top of the 2 liter bottle make it big enough for the fish to get into the bottle put a hole at the top and tie fishing line to it put a rock in the bottle to keep it from getting blown around the tank put some food into the bottle and sit back and wait..once the fish goes into the bottle pull the fishing line

I would say they are stress dots from having that many tangs in that size tank. Good is going to a good home (hopefully). Nice fish and I have seen it in person and it is a super good price too.

ok, im gettin paraniod....i have a glass container approc 4 in diamaeter with food inside it, its not floatin out but the fish wont even go near itthere just swimmin in and out of rocks , they know its there but yet they dont want the food that bad...cant understand why they havent eatin in over a week....im gonna have to let it go a few hours or something....holy cow, didnt think it would be this difficult....

ok, its just a matter of time before i get the blue...if i get the scopas tang anybody wanna grab that too...id rather rid the scopas tang than the blue...my blue iget along with dory now...i thinjk the scopas tang is the problem actually with my tangs..well the trap is set ill let it go again today...see what happens

do u know where i can get an algae scraper for my mag float, the type you screw on...they shouldnt be more than 10 bucks...find me a scraper...

Spoon, wait till the lights have been out for a couple of hours...then shine a light on the fish and use something to chase him towards your waiting net....see if this helps
