Powder Brown Tang

I currently have a 300 gallon mix reef which already has 4 tangs amongst other fish. The current tangs are purple, blue hippo, chevron, naso. All 4 coexist well. The last one added was the chevron (I know not ideal order) about six months ago. The other three have been in the tank for 2 to 3 years. The purple showed a little aggression to the chevron when added which only lasted a couple of days and all else is otherwise good. I know powder browns can be on the more difficult side. I saw a beautiful one today that made me stop and think about adding him to my tank. Am I crazy or can this work in a 300 gallon tank?

You should be ok they're all a different genus name. Best to make sure the powder brown is aggressively eating and large enough to defend it's self incase any of the other tangs show attitude. I would want it to be bigger than the purple. I would put it in. But all tangs can be PIA. Strong flow can go a long way in keeping tangs happy too.

Water quality and flow is spot on.
Anyone else with personal experience with this? I do have a large critter carrier that I use as acclimation box (much bigger and much cheaper- drilled some holes in it and good to go. Has worked great for my other fish as well).

You should be fine as the genus is different for all the tangs.
I currently have a Naso, Chevron and Powder Blue in my 350. PBT was added last, and there have been no issues.
Have a Desjardini in QT to round out the group.
