Hey Everyone,

Bought some reef brites and one of the power adapters needs to be replaced. Would this work as a replacement? I am not sure if having an exact match is going to make a difference or not. Maybe someone with more electrical understanding can help. I have highlighted the differences.

Here is the Reefbrite Adapter information (24V 30W Power Adapter for 1-2 pcs12" 1-2 pcs15" or 1-24" LED Light)

Model : FY2401000
Input : 100-240V~50/60Hz 1.8A
Output : 24V===1A

Model : WT2401250
Input : 100-240V~50/60Hz 1.6A
Output : 24V===1.25A

A constant voltage power supply is a suitable replacement assuming the following 2 basics.
#1- The output voltage rating matches the original
#2-The output current rating is equal to or greater than the original..

On top of that the output plug must be the same size (assuming you don't want to splice in the old plug) and that the polarity of the plug is the same (example.. center pin positive).. As the plugs are fairly standardized and 99% of the time the center is positive you are good to go..

Thanks, I did check the polarity is the same as the (+) was on the right side of the diagram on both. I will order one and update once I get it.
