Power Compact & New Unit ordered today

Who am I????

Please see my signature.

to answer your question, basically no as they do not have a 1-10 volt interface.

Best wishes
Michael

Ahh - Michael, Todd at Cherry mentioned you in our e-mailing about buying your system. I just bought the WLAN package, looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it!

I think "Lutron" does, but I'm not sure if the will work on the 1-10v interface, and they are quite pricey...:-(

Nope 10% is about it, this is why you need zero volt switching so the unit is turned off completely, this is taken care of in the EVG-AP PCB card

Not meaning to sound rude, but who are you?

Yeah!! you always answer are question and solve are problems along with that other guy Matthias!! LOL

As Elzool says, the dimmables work fine, 10% on a T5 is very low, you can then intergrate some LED's to carry the effect on.

Dimming T5's alone will not create the correct light colour for sunrise and set, you need a level of red in the mix, and this is where the LED's come in

I think there are some misunderstandings or maybe I just understand what you are talking about.

To make it clear:
- T5 tubes or compact fluorescent lamps can be dimmed in the range 1% ... 100% with most dimmable ballasts. Some ballasts dim in the range 3% ... 100%.
- MH can be dimmed with special ballasts, too. Not very well, only in the range of 75% ... 100% (or: -25%) - in my opinion useless.
- our dimmable LEDs lamp can be dimmed between 1% and 100%

I am asking when a ballast says 10% dimming - is that talking about 10% brightness or 10% power cut?

Real point is T5 and LED will do the trick - nice to see big guys here! Just wait until I get my hands on this, I'll keep you going for a few days!
