I just set up my 220 reef and its still cycling. I have 3 return lines coming back into the tank but need more flow. I want Tunzes so can anyone recomend which model I should get. The new nano streams are nice but probabally too small for my tank.

Any suggestions.......?????
Thanks,

What is your current flow rate for the tank (or said another way, how many times are you turning your tank over based on your volume)? I think the nano is too small. Look to add 1 - 6000 stream in one of the corners. You can then see how this does and another in the opposite corner if you still need more flow. If money is no object, you could always buy the package with the dual controller and 2 - 6000 units ( I think it goes for $850 at Marinedepot). Also what inverts are you planning to keep. If SPS the more flow the better. Some turn their volume over 20x plus. Also another option would be to install a closed loop system with a HO pump such as the sequence dart, oceans motion 4 way squirt and create an ocellating 4 way flow.

I am pumping about 1800 gallons per hour which equates to about 6.6 times(270 gallons total system). Take into account the 180 lbs of live rock and its more like 9.5 X

$ is not an object here but I need something very reliable. I will keep fish, shrimp, soft coral and maybe some sps at some point. Just want to do the right thing now and be done with it. I too was thing of the 2 Tunzes with controller. Thanks Mate.

I would not up your calculation because of rock lowering your water volume, I would assume that a large amount of rock cuts off flow and thus necessitates more flow. Try a couple 6000s with a controller, and you can upgrade them by swapping out transformers to 6100s if you find the need (if corals cutting off flow or other nuisance).
