I live in Maryland Heights. Apparently the Electricity Gods don't care for our little area too much, today for the 3rd time this year I lost power. Granted this time was only for 6 hours, but last time it was 5 days, the time before that 3 days, and the year before that 2 days.
The time we were out for 5 days it got down in the upper 40's in my kitchen which is where my planted tank is. I was running a battery powered air pump and floating bags of hot water to keep the temp up. Somehow I dont think this will work on a reef tank though.
How does everyone keep their tank alive when the power goes out? How long do you have before stuff starts dying?
