This is a list of what I currently have sitting behind my tank.

Timers:
1 Metal Halides and Actinics
1 Refugium Light
1 Level Loc Auto Fill

Pumps:
1 Main Return
1 Calcium Reactor
1 Skimmer
1 Carbon canister

Power Heads:
3 Hydor koralin 3

Misc:
1 Calcium reactor PH monitor
1 Heater
1 Refugium Light

Thats a grand total of 13 power cords.
They are everywere. I have (4) 6 outlet strips running all of this from a single outlet in the wall. I am growing more an more concerned about potential hazards. Are there units available that can control all of these components safely?

i would try a power strip from American DJ. They are grounded and fused multi outlet strips... they make 4 and 8 outlet models. each outlet has a lit rocker switch.

put American DJ PC-100A 8 into google.

for cord management any site like CDW or insight.com have tracks and looms for running cat5 cable for computer networking.

the djpowerstrips are great. i don't know why i waited so long to ever get one, wouldn't set up a tank without one now that i know. definately worth the $20 or so

+1 on this. I use them all over on two tanks. Makes life really simple with labels and on/off lighted switches.

Those power strips are quite nice. I have one on both of my tanks. SO easy to just flip a switch and have something go off.

I have a piece of metro shelf that I hang my timers on behind the power strip to for convience.

Get 2 or 3 power strips and hang them on the wall behind the tank. Then use one for lights then another for powerheads and another for filters.Clean and orginized.
