Power supply help

I need a power supply for my jeabo. I have a few extras around the house but not sure on the rating differences. The jeabo one is 1.5A input and 2.5A output. The closest one I have to it is 1.2A input and 2.5A output. Will this work or do I need something different? I plugged it into it and it powered up but don't know if there is long term effect on it?

It should be fine, the input values are close and are usually estimates from testing. The 1.2Amps input current is the maximum instantaneous current the adapter will pull from the outlet, so as long as is putting out the correct value you should not see any damage, Is the output Voltage also matching?

Yes they are both 2.5A outputs the only difference is the input.

but is the Voltage the same? I believe jebaos put 24v at 2.5A

That's different, that for sure will make the pump work at lower speed/flow. I would check in the jebao thread and see if anyone has been running their pumps at 12V without issues, if I recall correctly some people reported issues and suggest not going below 16V or 19V (I'm not 100% sure).

Ok thanks. What about the output amp I read something about its ok to go over power not under, is this true? i.e. Original is 2.5A out can I go 3A or 4A out?

Yes, since the pump will pull what it needs. The power supply will not "push" more than what the pump is pulling/needing.
