powerhead annoying

I have a powerhead relying on suction caps.... but just recently, it keeps sliding down. No matter how much i clean the glass in that area and moving it back up to its original position it just keeps on sliding.

I'm wondering if there's any quickfix ideas to stop it sliding from the position i want it. Any ideas

THanks guys.

haha. No we need that in California too! :) I think you could buy any old opposing magnets and glue one side to the back of the powerhead. I might try it this weekend so I will let you know. Superglue gel is supposed to be alright to use.

I just use some fishing line and tie them to a thumb tack inside the canopy.

Yeah i was thinking that... probably try that one first.. Want to avoid using chemicals for the time being Thanks Cloak.

If anyone else has more suggestions i'd be interested

You can use super glue gel no problems, wes. We use it all the time to mount coral frags for our tanks. I prefer to use Loctite Super Glue Gel. ;)

Sure grips work great!

Also you could buy some koralias they have a suction cup and magnet.

Best solution for me was a closed loop...I got tired of maneuvering powerheads now I have the inlet/outlets at the top of the tank (barely noticeable) and a lot more flow...I love it!
