Powerhead disturbed sand bed

I accidentally left my powerhead on high and it pushed some of the sand to the middle of the tank. I only have about 2 inches of sand and my tank is about 3 months old.
After the sand was moved I now have a bunch of white stringy slime (bacterial bloom) all over my tank. My corals also look bad ever since this happened. Any advice from people who clean their sandbeds and purposely stir it up? Is this just ammonia being released or...

I would start with doing some tests on your tank. Ammonia, nitrites, nitrates. You may also want to do a water change and blow off any sand on any of your corals/rocks.

It is not ammonia that is released,it's nitrates, phosphates and detritus.
