Hey everyone! I've had my tank up for three months now. Everything seems to be doing great besides a little algae problem but takes a few weekday to get to the point I need to clean the glass.

Anyways I'm wondering if I should put in a powerhead or something to increase curcualtion in my tank. I have fine argonite sand and even with the stock pump pointed.in the wrong spot it blows it around.

Btw my tank is a aqueon evolve 8. Holds 5 gallons. And I have a few zoas, and three hermit crabs. Also anything else to help with keeping my tank healthy!

Thanks in advance!

koralia nano, either one of the nanos would work, depends on how much extra flow you want to add, but one of those would work perfectly for ya!

You 100% NEED a powerhead. Without one, you are not properly oxygenating the water nor are you encouraging gas exchange. Unless you are spot feeding your coral, they heavily rely on current/flow to bring them food. I have the Koralia 425 in my 5g, but the nano works well too. Go get some flow!!

i definately have some flow just not enough. the unit has a pump that comes up and into a flat adjusable nozzle. but thanks for the input! ill look into those!
