Just got my 2 Hydor Koralia #3's today. Been F@!#@#$$%g with them ALL day. The tank is a 65 gal reef, or soon to be. I have 1 finger coral in the tank now and have been adjusting and readjusting these damn PH's trying to get hte coral to flow. I have them set up on either side of the tank facing each other towrards the middle and my filter return is in the middle facing straight out towards the glass. I don't like to flow and as dumb as it sounds can't figure a spot to put these PH's to work with each other.

try one low facing obliquely to the front and one higher cutting across the long axis - the main idea is not only movement to your coral, but making sure all your surfaces are swept with current to prevent dead spots - an invitation to cyanobacteria outbreaks - a Bad Thing. Rock formation is also something to consider as you'll want flow behind and around it. It's also very helpful to tie everything into a wavemaker that will randomize your flow for better coverage. You might also consider adding a third ph

I have ph's in the corners blowing toward the front glass. the sump returns churn the surface on one side and a smaller ph churns the suface on the other side. I also have a ph that pushes water flow behind the rock work.
