Hi all,
I'm putting a new 180 together. Pretty basic setup. 180 with dual drain / return. Mag 18. Wet/Dry, Skimmer with Mag 3, UV. 50 lbs live sand. 60 lbs Florida crushed coral. 60 lbs base rock and 15 lbs live rock to seed. Lights are 4 VHO and 4 Actinic T10k.
Today I bought 2 Koralia 1400's ( I plan on adding 2 more in a month or so ). My question is where should I place these. Originally as you can see in my pic I've placed them on the side wall in the middle and about 1/3 from the bottom pointing up and across.
I've read where a lot of people place them on the back wall pointed at the front wall.
While I only have the two should I place them on the back wall pointing forward or leave them where they are?
Also if my pump is pushing 1000gph ( conservatively ) and these are pushing 2800gph together is that enough flow or should I still add two more 1400's or maybe just 1050's for the back to front action?
Is 6600 gph flow too much? ( 4 x 1400 and 1 x 1000 )
Thanks for the feedback and advice.
