Powerhead Question

So, I was watching the tank and noticed the powerhead was kicking up a lot of sand. It was bothering me, and then I started thinking about taking it off. Now, I know powerheads are a staple of marine tanks, but I thought my HOB filter might be able to pick up for it. It seems to create a lot of surface disturbance, but of course I am not one of the fish. Could I take it off? If I am being stupid, let me know. Thanks!

You would reduce the effectiveness of live rock filtration if there is not enough water turnover.

And you cant have most coral without a power head.

If the power head is kicking up sand, point it up a little more so that it doesn't.

Total circulation needed depends on what you are keeping, but generally, more is better.

My SPS dominant 120DT is at about 80x. If it's a FOWLR, then maybe 15-20x, but I'd be worried about dead spots allowing detritus to accumulate.

Currently it is just fish only. It is a ten gallon, so maybe I am turning the tank over too much, if there is such a thing. I will link the powerhead I have down below, maybe I just have too much. I am mainly worried about the sand being blown around because it has been demolishing my goby/pistol's burrows.
