Powerhead Selection help for 325g square tank

I am still in the planning stages but I would appreciated your expert opinion on pump selection for this 325 gallon SPS dominant reef tank.

I am upgrading from a 240 tank and about the only pump that I have that will be moving to the new tank is my 6215 wavebox. The rest of the circulation pumps I plan to start from scratch.

Here are two views of the tank. It will be approx 60" square and 24 inches tall with an external overflow on the side that faces the wall. Return plumbing will probably be in the back corners.

In the picture I put the wavebox in the back corner facing the front of the tank.
(I am currently using the wavebox in a narrow 8' tank and the best I can do is a 1"standing single wave, I am looking to for something similar or slightly higher in the new tank.)
Questions:

Best position for the wavebox to get a good wave output from it?

Will I need a wavebox extension to still get a about 1" of standing wave height?

Best Stream 2 controllable powerheads to use for a tank this size?
Quantity and placement?
(I was hoping to keep as much of the equipment as possible on the back wall if I can.)

Thanks for the help.
-Paul

I would be fairly certain with the extreme width an extension will be needed. I think a pair of 6255's would be the best suited since the tank is so wide and will be SPS dominated.

Thanks Roger!

With respect to the wavebox, do you think I will have a problem with a coast to coast overflow at the back of the tank?

I know that the instructions tell you it works best with a center overflow and the wave going side to side.

Is this recommended just to have a consistent water level at the overflow or is so that the wave peak doesn't go over the overflow and loose energy?

I was even considering building them into the back of the tank to save room in the tank but I don't want to do anything that permanent without any idea of how well it will work.

I also thought that if I put them in the same corner I might get a nice effect. I suppose they could face the side of the tank if they are in the corner but I would not be able to build them into the tank

Any thoughts on that?

In the picture I tries to show where most of the rock would go.
For the 6255s do you have any suggestions on position?

The reason for the recommendation is both, the overflow will result in a loss of wave energy and surging of water into the overflow. I agree on the permanence, being able to move them is important if the layout changes. For best effect you will need one in each corner as the tank is so wide. You could place one 6255 about a 1ft in from each wavebox on the back wall and this would keep things more discrete and should give a good result.
