Powerheads and Puffers

I saw in the puffer pic thread someone said not to keep puffers in a tank with powerheads. Right now I have my new puffer in a 125 with 2 Koralia 4's. Is this dangerous then? If so, what do you use for water flow?

It will be ok with those. I had a dog face and he got stuck to the intake of the maxijet. The Koralia don't have an intake.

I have two k4s in my 90 with my porcupine puffer. Every once in a while he lays on top of one for his puffer massage. He has never had a problem getting off

I agree that the K4's are fine with a puffer. I use two K4's in my 120 with a porcupine puffer. For the record the Koralia's have an intake however it has a large area resulting in far less suction than a traditional powerhead.

Thatd be pretty funny seeing him perched on top of the K4. I'm not sure what the fish protectors are, but theres no way he could touch the fan inside the unit.
