I'm upgrading soon so i was wondering in your guys opinion, what would a good brand and model powerheads for a 120.

Instead of tunze, you can go with the new koralia 4s. Only 8.5 watts for 1200 gph and 3 times cheaper than a 6100 tunze, so you get more flow than the 6100 by far and less electricity.

I just purchased a couple of Tunze 6100's with a multi controller for my 120g, I'm hoping that will be enough.:D

Good thing you got the controller. :lol:

I was looking at the tunze 6000 or the korlia 4. Which one is better

The koralia 1s and 4s have had no problems. The koralias are suppose to be silent along with using way lower energy. For a tunze 6000, you can't control it. The tunze 6000 is non controllable for 1500 GPH and around 137$ while the koralia 4 is a whole lot less energy, maybe a little larger, but costs 50-60$ and pushes out 1200 GPH. For the price of the tunze 6000, you can go get 2 of the koralia 4s and get 2400 GPH and more random flow by having more powerheads.

The tunze that you should get if you got tunze should probably be the controllable ones from what people have said, and that's the 6100s and up I think starting at around 300$.

Are u guys sure the tunze 6000 is not controllable? This is cut and paste this from marinedepot.com
Turbelle ® Stream 6000:

* Output: 7000 l/h; 1850 gal/h
* Speed control: Yes
* Electronically controllable by all TUNZE ® motor controls
* Pump wattage: 15 W
* Cable length: 5 m; 196"
* Dimensions: ø 98 x 118 mm; ø 3.9 x 4.6
* Outlet diam.: ø 50/47 mm; ø 2"/1.8"

Ya, the 6000 is controllable, I was thinking of the 6060. The 6000 is good if you have the extra money to spend, otherwise go with 3 koralia 4s for the same price I would think.
