I have many zoanthid/patythoas in my tank and they all grow like crazy and are colorful. On two occassion I have had PPE from two different source and they seem to not survive. The first one arrive and never opened and the second one open up half ways a few days later, then close up for good. Both melted aways after 1 week or so. I have tried different location, flow, dipping them and so forth and nothing seems to help. I am getting another frag in a few weeks and would really like to keep these alived. Any suggestions would help.

Sorry for your loss. I keep mine at the bottom of my tank in a pretty good amount of flow. They are about 24" away from my lights(2-250watt de 14k phnx).

I believe the frags were recovered, but not sure. I will keep that in mind. Both frags came from the East Coast to California.
