Practicing my Photo skills.....

So what do you suggest for the base? Dont really want to stir up the sand bed to much thanks Chris

glasscages acrylic is as follows 1/8" .02 cents a square foot

1/4' .035 cents a square foot how much would we need and what thickness??

plus what they charge to cut it???? or on ebay 1/8" thick 12x12 3 pieces 10.77 plus shipping or 5 pieces 14.5 plus shipping shipping is about $10

I'll look into what that base is. I'm intested in making some of this for my own tank -- so I'd be in on helping out.

They will sell to the public but dont have thorite in stock. They have a product called dam-it. Non leaching 60lb bucket is $36. Can look up more info on euclid.com

WHEW.....

laughing...I fell asleep last night on in my chair, laptop on. I woke up at about 2am.

I see we are in a good planning mode. COOL

Have we decided what would be the best base for the tower?

Rock or Acrylic sheet?

How about if the Thorite or dam-it is heavy enought to make a base out of it????

that was my thought too. I dont think i will need much to cement on my pillars so was thinking of just using 2 part epoxy here is my plan base acrylic sheet acrylic rods drill rock slide it on and epoxy small pieces where needed

sounds good, if you are using the exopy I would go with black rods if they are not much more expensive. That way you won't see it if you cannot cover all of it.
