I have a QT running Hyposalinity @1.008 for the past 3 weeks now. Ammonia/Nitrite/Nitrate are: 0/0.5/20 (API Test Kit).

30Gal tank with carindal bengali and two clowns. No ich spots and fish are eating, but every now and then the clown scratch against the PVC pipe.

Would that be flukes? If so, can i use PraziPro w/ hyposalinity?

I just had my large angels scratching and twitching . I have them in a 300 gal. it took a while because I saw no cloudy eyes and did not want to treat the DT. but finally did prazi. within 5 hours no more scratching or twitching .
it is like new fish now out all the time grazing . prazi is good stuff.

Did you do the Prazi in the display tank? I too have a 300 and do not have a qt. I introduced a kole and clown tang about 6 weeks ago and I notice the clown tang scratches every nite along the sand bed. I don't see anything on him and he eats like a pig. Never tried the stuff but many threads here seem to talk about it. I have a fowlr with only some inverts.

If you treat the DT you need to turn your skimmer off (it would overflow like a banshee anyway) as well as taking carbon and UV off line. Do a big water change in a week but you will still likely have some skimmer issues for a while.

I've also heard that Prazi can decrease oxygen concentration so if you have a power head that allows it point one at the surface.

+1 You will need to repeat the Prazi in 4-6 days. You may even need to do a third dose. Prazi does not kill the eggs.
