Praziquantel powder

It's 1/4 teaspoonful per 40 gallons of aquarium water. The rest is the same as prazipro, let sit for 5-7 days, do water change, then dose again. Happy Holidays too!

A more precise measurement of Praziquantel powder would be 1mg/per Liter. I never dose meds per scoop, rather by weight. You will have to mix the powder in vodka to get it to dissolve. It is not soluable in just water

are you sure because that would 1500 liters equals 400 gallons which only comes out to gram and a half. Thanks

The 1mg/liter is the final concentration when diluted in water(after ethyl alcohol) and not the dosage.

There should have been a measuring scoop included. According to National Fish Pharmaceuticals, for pure Praziquantel powder, it is 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gallons. There is no other description of dosing pure powder besides that. With a teaspoon, you get roughly 4 grams per teaspoon(this is with table salt so weights would be different)I would stick to the 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gallons.

This is from Noga fish disease book 2nd edition. Everything you want to know is there. Again using a scoop is not best practice, weighing meds is much more precise. I also would buy the powder from someone other than National fish Pharm

For the record Noga sites actual literature and research done on disease, the other book I put a picture up of does not
