It work in my office in a Vrtual Terminal of Vista, but does not work at home.

Here is the error message for the one at home.

Works well, including the resizing. However, I much preferred the smaller font and black background. The teal and purple look... well... hideous to me

I'll consider adding the ability to set color in the next version; I wanted color separation between status and timer states but I can make that configurable.

No, at this time the gadget only knows how to talk HTTP so only the AC3 and Pro are supported. I purchased an AC3 for testing and I would need to purchase an AC Jr to test Jr support, something at the moment which I am not considering.

New version, 1.5 posted. Not much new...

Back color is a setting and the timer names are sorted.

Version 1.7:

* Logging, enabled when there is a file named "debug.log" in the gadget folder.

* A Sound is played when the alarm timer is on (enable/disable sound is on the settings screen)

Am I doing something wrong? I cant get it to work, it keeps saying failed to initialize. I have it set to 192.168.2.50:80 and put in my login/pass . When i double click the gadget it brings up my browser and asks for my login and password twice and then it will show my AC3 status. Possible aquanotes interfering?

gadgets should always be a single file. A .gadget file is the same as a .zip file with the 'gadget' file extension. If you save the file with a .gadget extension it should work.

Can you be more specific? I just tested large, small and variable (which only works when large is enabled) and they appear to work (OK, they work on my system at least).

I had large checked and it wasn't resizing. I closed the gadget, re-opened, and it opened in the large window. No clue.

Hmm, the gadget code evaluates size on each refresh/update from the AC3. I'll double check all the code paths and be sure one is not missing.

Thanks for reporting this.

Any updates? Current bugs I see:

The top area (temp/ph/orp) randomly has numbers that change different colors. It might be intentional and mean something, but I have yet to figure it out. Always green, but some randomly show up as blue, red, etc.

Constantly lists "new version available" even though one isn't.

Yes, the color change is intentional. 'blue' means that the value has moved up since the last reading, 'red' means the value is moving down and 'green' means the reading has not changed. I want to put little arrows bu the reading but haven't beenable to find a character code which will work on most systems so I went with colors for now.

The 'new version' should go away but you need to re-install the current version. I found the problem just after uploading but I didn't change the version because I thought I was fast enough; I guess you where faster;)

When did you upload it? I installed it fresh on a machine Friday and still had the issue.

Still working very well for me.

Hmm, I'll have to check it out but in the meantime, if you want to fix it yourself it is a simple edit....

Open the following file using notepad:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\AC3Status.gadget\js\CheckVersion.js

Towards the top there should be a line that should reads (it might say 1.8 currently, which is incorrect):

var version = 1.9; // Remember to update the text file!

Found why I could not get it to work...looks like you need to have User Account Control "on" I leave it off because it bugs the crap out of me.
