Precision Marine Reactor Help

Hi,

I have a SR35 PM Reactor that I use for carbon in my sump. I need to replace the sponges (they are old...) and cannot figure out how to remove them from the unit. My unit is an older one (4-5 years old) and appears to be different from the new one (on their site). The crux of the issue is the tube and plate inside the unit appear to be glued in place...how do you replace the sponges? If you force them over the bottom plate they will rip.

I emailed the company asking for help...and they responded via email that I was an Idiot (seriously....)

I don't want to break the unit by forcing anything...just looking for some guidance.

Thanks!

I have never seen one glued from the manufacturer. Maybe try a vinegar bath. Plates, tubes and sponges should slide out.

There new clear hang on the side reactors rock. Good luck. Maybe try calling them. They helped me out when I had questions.
