Preferred aptasia destruction method

And go...

I've been too busy recently to pay close attention to my tank. It's kind of blah right now, so that makes it even more difficult.

But, I'm tired of it looking blah, so I'm going to start with aptasia removal. I've let them get out of hand.

What's your preferred method? Lei at Corals n More has this cool aptasia laser, but I'm not looking to burn my office down, accidentally torch my retinas, or fork out that kind of money, so that's out.

Filefish? Peppermint shrimp? Aptasia-X or something similar? Lemon juice?

Or a combination of both?

Klein's Butterfly Fish is an affordable, highly effective natural predator of aiptasia.

Depending on what else you have in your tank I would definitely do a file fish and or a Klein's butterflyfish. I've had nothing but good luck with matted filefish.

Once used peppermint shrimp and they destroyed aptasia then went after lps. The next time I used Berghia Nudibranchs and that worked well without corals being harmed.
