Ok so I have the clown that used to beat up the littler one that I have. So, 2 total (for those not so good at math). Well, tonight I noticed that the bigger clown looked like "she" was pregnant. I had removed the little one for a while to heal from the beating he was taking. I have never seen a pregnant one and don't know what to do. I am very new to this so any help would be great.

I don't know much about breeding at all but I do know that the females (bigger one) lays the eggs and the male (smaller one) will fertilize the eggs. So I'm not sure if separating them would the best idea.

no to the first question and yes to the second. the adults will eat the fry if not removed to another tank. what type of clowns? i breed percs. you will need to start greenwater or use a product like dts or rotifeast to feed rotifers. that what the babies eat. then you will also need to get baby brine shrimp(hatcher ) to feed next. may (should ) read julian sprungs? clownfishes. i can recite the book sad to say.

Unless you are fully prepared to raise the fry (a seperate tank) I wouldn't worry about the babies getting eaten...they will for sure. The positive side is that your clowns are breeding and more than likely it will be a regular occurance. If you are interested in attempting to raise them, check out the fish breeding forum.

They are percs. I think that I am going to go the route of just letting the babies get eaten for now. I feel bad about it, but don't have the time or the knowledge to do it right. I feel kind of guilty, but I guess that is the way things go. Maybe next time around I will try to be ready. Also, what should I do about the aggressiveness of the female perc?
