I'm guessing planula sack. So strange to see Caryophyllidae reproduce like that. I thought they just stored up planula in their tissues.

@Dave, as you know, that much protein released in the water at once = no bueno. But I know you've got plenty of saltwater ready in reserve.

Keep us updated! way cool what smart people can make happen in their tanks. Is that sac located next to another bubble? Maybe its trying to target spawn....

Pretty sure your coral is stressing. Have had that happen to 2 corals (lps) in the past. Never figured it out, might be related to too much flow. Lost tissue both times, the corals survived.

Don't thnik it's pregnant. Ive had this happen to my frogspawn before where 1 of the things blew up to an unbelievable size. Most likely if you look at it you'll see nothing inside it except air - if you thnik the picture shows theres something in it then I'd hate to burst your bubble (heh) but it's just the other mini things around it :P

That is an awesome sight. I would have probably had a stroke if that was in my tank.

Does the Flame Angel mess with any of your corals? I have always wanted one but I have heard it isn't reef safe.

my flame doesn't appear to eat any of my corals. the goby and jaw fish do more damage with the sand then anything in my tank. tho he picks at the frags i assume for algae/pods cause none of my corals have been nipped.
