I talked to a reefer (mike) about doing a group buy if anyone is interested. I know there isn't many SPS collectors but I'd give it a shot. He stated the prices are low but if we hit a good amount maybe he can work in free shipping. Unless someone is going to Tracy (where he is located) anytime soon to pick them up? Anyways here's what he has.

Bob maybe we can purchase some for the club so you, Grant or Ken can grow out?

Ken let me know for sure. I noticed a lot of members may want the same coral which is fine just incase one person doesn't make it. But the fact is he may not have multiple frags. Let me know for sure what you may want.

Bob same thing like I said to Ken. Let me know what you may want personally and what you think the club should buy. I'm sure we can get a couple of pieces that you and Ken may want to grow out for the club.

Ron nice pick up. Let me know what you maybe interested in also :)

I feel the tricky part is who would get priority for what coral. I feel the corals that everyone wants would be first priority for the club to purchase. Then we would figure out a fair process after. I'll contact mike or even get him to come to our form to elaborate on what he has. Thanks :)
 
I really don't care. I don't know the names very well and if it's an SPS it should go in one of the tanks that it will grow in and then it will be fragged for the club. No use spending money if it dies
 
Hey it's mike, just a little intro, I've been in reeffing for about 6 years. My current tank is a 250g sps dominated tank. I used to be on RC regularly but now am mostly in the NVR club forums locally. Here is a link to my build thread.

I see many some of you are interested in the aquaSD, bubblegum milli's, and Ultamates purple monster. These are very limited one maybe two of each. I can also make smaller frags for a little cheaper if it helps to get it to everyone who wants them. When/if u get a list together hit me up.
 
Thank Mike for jumping on. Cody, I swear your setup (sump, doser, topoff etc...) is similar to Mike's tank but on a smaller scale :) It was nice seeing your setup today!

I'd definitely like these please:

My preference would be that they not be fragged down further. 3/4" is already pretty small.

I'll buy some of the cheaper and hopefully easier pieces. Once they grow out I'd be happy to donate frags back.

I think I'll set the cutoff for this order for this wed. If mike has everything fragged and nothing new has to be fragged we can get it as soon as Friday? But if someone wants an item that has to be frag I'd like to wait for a week just to be fair. Let me know.

I got contacted by some other hobbyists when the list came out with what they wanted. Again just to be fair, I'm going to go by the order that individuals posted or PM'd me. Cause so far three individuals want that aquasd rainbow milli.
 
I can bow out of the aqua sd milli if there is not enough to go around.

I would rather see 2 people get nice size frags then 3 people get dinky frags.
 
Go guys, It would be great to get the new species in the group. I'll be joining in again once my tank is stable and not trying to turn into an algae farm. ;) Btw the tank is full again and the flat and everything is back at Kens house. Thx again for the help Ken. :) I'll try and take some pics of the new setup soon.
