Hi, i will be starting a 180g reef next summer and will eventually have a CA+ reactor for that issue, but my questionis flow.

i will have a mag drive 18 return pump, 2 SEIO 2600's, 2 smaller powerheads that i have (around 130gph each) and a closed loop running on a mag drive 24 with a SCWD wavemaker. i'll have about a 60-62xturnover rate. is this enough for SPS?

side note: i will have some softies in the tank, but so few that they couldn't cause a problem with toxins. only 1 leather anyway.

I would ditch the scwd - they are inefficient at passing flow. Otherwise I think you have enough to start. Check my signature if you really want to go overboard

would the tank be ok without a wavemakek if the currents mixed together?

Sure, my wavebox is brand new (about a week). I've had tanks up without it for about 2 years
