probes???

Ok I know with new probes you have to let them oxidide for a bout a week befor they read right. But here is the Question.. When you clean a probe with vinager do you have to let it oxide again. Also how often should you clean your probe??

What sort of probe? pH? ORP? Nitrate? Calcium? Other?

Oxide? I do not know of any probes that oxidize in seawater. But maybe you mean ORP probes?

They do take time to equilibrate as organics bind to them. You may find it useful to recalibrate it after the clean it.

Thany You Randy It is a ORP. and equilibrate was the word I couldnt get out so I said oxidide.

Ah, ok, yes, it takes a few days to equilibrate, typically, after cleaning, when new, and even after fresh calibration even without cleaning.

Cleaning it once a year is probably adequate, if it is in the dark. if it is in light with algae maybe growing on it, it may need more frequent cleaning.
