I have an Aquacontroller II and I just replaced my PH Probe and recalibrated it. Then I put it in the tank and it was reading 7.95 when the test resulted in an 8.2 PH. Just for kicks I removed the ORP probe from the water (located in separate part of tank as suggested) and my PH registered the correct reading of of 8.17.
Do I need to replace my ORP Probe too? I have it turned off and the probe disconnected from the unit so the PH is accurate. When the ORP is turned OFF, but the probe is still connected and in the water it still makes the PH read incorrrectly.
Finally there is a setting for PH Comp on the ORP menu. it is now OFF but it does not seem to affect the PH probe whether ON or OFF.
Please advise.
Thanks
Jimmy
