Hope someone can help out here. I have several small zoo colonies that are all thriving in my tank (up for 5 1/2 years). Haven't added anything new to the tank in months. All of a sudden, two of the colonies (in different areas of the tank) are having problems. One colony appears to have polyps being eaten. There has definitely been a decrease in the number of polyps. The other colony has about a third of the polyps just not opening. I did a 5 minute freshwater dip on this colony and found an asterina star, 2 mini brittles, several copepods, a tiny bristleworm and several tiny - probably amphipods. No apparent nudis or sundials.
Anything else I should look for?
Other tank inhabitants that I know of are:
Fish: Yellow Tang, Royal Gramma, Perc clown
Snails: trochus, nassarius, stomattela, astrea
Crabs: none
Shrimp: none
Several soft corals, lps and Many sps corals.
